The 2008- 2009 William Allen White Children's Book Award Master Lists have been posted. Curriculum guides will be posted later.
Remember, that the new lists are only for use in ordering and planning by librarians and teachers right now. Don't mark your books or identify them as being on the lists until after your students vote in 2008. Until then, let's keep the kids' focus on the current nominees. Votes are due by April 15, 2008. However, you can vote anytime the voting form is posted on the website. After you vote, you may begin publicizing the new list.
Each year the William Allen White Children’s Book Awards Committee creates a Master List of titles, chosen from books published during the previous year. Since 2000, there have been two Master Lists, one for 3rd to 5th Grade and one for 6th to 8th Grade.
